What a correction should contain

A useful correction identifies the page, the specific statement, the reason it may be wrong and a primary source supporting the proposed change. Do not include passport details, visa numbers, medical records or other sensitive documents.

Review and revision

Substantive factual corrections should be checked against the responsible authority and reflected in the article. A material change should receive an updated date. Minor spelling and formatting changes do not imply a new factual review.
