How to Request Official Certificates Through Abu Dhabi Government Services

Find the precise certificate and issuing authority on the official service platform before submitting a request.

Find the precise certificate and issuing authority on the official service platform before submitting a request. TAMM brings many Abu Dhabi services together, but each certificate retains its own purpose, eligibility and evidence requirements.

Define the certificate you actually need

The phrase official certificate can refer to very different records. A school attendance certificate, birth certificate, police record, court document and economic-licence statement do not prove the same facts. Ask the organisation requesting the evidence for the exact name and intended use.

Write that requirement in plain terms: proof that a child is enrolled, a certified record of a birth, confirmation of a particular registration, or evidence from a named proceeding. This makes it easier to distinguish the correct service from a similarly named letter that will not answer the recipient's question.

Identify the responsible entity

TAMM is an Abu Dhabi government services platform, not the sole issuer of every document displayed through it. Check the entity named on the service card. A health-related certificate might involve DoH, while another record belongs to a school authority, police service or judicial body.

Federal documents can have a separate route. Emirates ID is administered by ICP, and qualification recognition can involve MoHESR. A local platform may link to a service without replacing the federal authority's conditions. Follow the owner of the underlying record when eligibility or correction questions arise.

Read the live service card

Check who can apply, the evidence requested, the supported channels, current charges and the form of the result. Find out whether you must be the person concerned, a guardian or an authorised representative. Login availability does not establish that every account can obtain every certificate.

For example, TAMM's attested pursuing-of-study service describes a certificate confirming that a student is registered in an Abu Dhabi private or charter school at the issue date. That is a defined educational fact, not a university qualification assessment or a general certificate of all previous study.

Use UAE Pass without confusing it with eligibility

Where required, sign in using your own UAE Pass account. Review the login request and choose the correct individual, family or business context offered by the service. The account authenticates you; the service checks the relevant relationship and entitlement.

If an expected dependent or record is absent, ask the issuing entity or platform support to investigate the association. Avoid creating a duplicate identity account or selecting another person's record because it appears similar. Correct relationships make the resulting certificate dependable.

Prepare a precise application

Enter names, reference numbers, recipient and purpose accurately. Upload complete documents in the requested format and check legibility before submission. If the system retrieves a record automatically, review it rather than assuming it is correct merely because you did not type it.

Where information is wrong, establish who can correct the source record. An error inherited from a school, hospital or registry may need correction there before a new certificate can be generated. Typing a different value in a free-text explanation does not necessarily change the official record.

Check for integrated issuance and attestation

Some services combine steps that older instructions describe separately. DoH and MoFA announced a September 2026 integration for electronic issuance and digital attestation of Abu Dhabi birth and death certificates through TAMM. Check the live options before arranging an unnecessary separate paper journey.

An integration applies to the documents and conditions it actually supports. It does not mean that every government certificate is automatically attested for foreign use. Ask the intended overseas recipient what authentication and language it requires, then confirm which parts the selected service completes.

Track status and resolve returned requests

Keep the request reference, submission date and payment receipt. Distinguish pending, returned-for-amendment and completed states. If a request is returned, identify the specific missing item and respond within the instructions rather than starting multiple duplicate applications.

A concise support enquiry should identify the service, reference, issue and the action already attempted. Use an appropriately cropped screenshot where helpful. Keep identity numbers, health records and other sensitive attachments out of public complaint posts. The authority may need those details through its secure channel, not through a public timeline.

Inspect and preserve the result

Check the final certificate's names, dates, stated fact and issuing entity. Save the original digital file and verification feature if provided. Confirm that the recipient accepts this version before treating the wider task as finished, especially if a translation or foreign-use step remains.

A clear private register can record what you requested, what was issued and where it was submitted. This is useful when the same household has school, health and identity administration underway at once. It prevents an official-looking document from being mistaken for proof of something it was never designed to certify.

Check whether the requested service issues a new statement or retrieves a copy of an existing record. A true-copy service does not necessarily change the original facts or make an old statement current. If the recipient needs confirmation of today's position, ask which issuance service provides that particular evidence.
